Broken Gallery with 4.1.6 update

Jordy has just worked on a fix for it and it has been released in version 4.1.7, could you please try to update the plugin and see if the issue persists?

I too have reverted to 4.1.5 on bajanthings and all is working again

@kywyz I’ve posted via the direct channel a report with screen shots and had an auto email saying you’ve received the report (Subject was: Possible bug with Tiles in Meow Gallery 4.16) … happy to test 4.1.7 as soon as its ready

I have to update my comment above, issues are not fixed and 4.1.7 has not been released. Still waiting for support.

Sorry, we have been both on holidays this month, and didn’t think we would have so much support. Unfortunately, the plugin was removed from the repository temporarily because of a relatively small issue, but that forced me to make many changes quickly while on a trip. But I am not 100% sure the issue here is related to that now.

The current version of the plugin works fine on my test, could you tell us exactly how we can replicate it? Can you make a page that we can access in order to see how it is broken exactly?

I noticed the version tag might not have been updated, so the latest version was on the repository, but it’s still the previous version which was delivered. I pushed a new version (4.1.8). Hopefully, that will fix everything ??

You’ll see in the first gallery, the last two fotos are messed up by Tiles layout. The vertical one should be the horizontal one and vice versa.

4.1.8 didn’t fix this issue, nor the one with square layout which is still impossible to configure (setting 2, 3, or 5 columns does not work) it’s always displaying 4 columns.

For example the second gallery on post is set to 2 columns.

FYI this is a staging with only Twenty Twenty One theme and your Meow Gallery plugin only. No other plugins are installed.

By the way these are issues I have with your plugin on all the websites I’m running.

@tigroumeow thanks for 4.1.8. On BajanThings all seems to be working again. I did a few spot checks. There were a few galleries where things appeared not to be right and when I investigated it seems those problem galleries were not defined as Meow Galleries but as Standard Galleries.

It should be better with the 4.1.8, let me know if there are issues ?? Indeed, the previous release was actually not really a release and didn’t include the fixes like it was supposed to.

PS: @samlaflam, believe it or not but Arcachon is my hometown! One of my friends even live at l’Herbe :p

1/ First gallery is Tiles gallery : check last two fotos, open it in new tab and you’ll see that the vertical one should be the horizontal one and vice versa.

It’s the behaviour I have every time I try to put both a horizontal and a vertical image in the last two items.

2/ Second gallery is square gallery and it’s set to 2 columns : you’ll see that it’s always displaying 4 columns. If I change setting to 3, o 5, it doesn’t change anything.

Configuration of this staging website :
– WordPress 5.8 latest version
– Twenty Twenty One theme
– Meow Gallery 4.1.8
– No other plugins are installed.

I repeat that 4.1.8 didn’t fix any issue and I’m using your plugin on 6 different websites.
