Broken Elementor Pages with Polylang plugin active

Hello dear community,

I need your help, please to solve an issue that I have spent hours to try to solve without success.

I created the website first in one language and translated to 2 other languages.All went fine.

After a while, I had to change the main language to another language, in my case English. Since then, the Elementor pages are not showing at all in the front; instead is showing the blog posts default page. In the backend elementor content is not loading at all, not even in safe mode. This happens only when polylang plugin is enabled. The strange thing is that the home page is working fine.

So I suppose it is something related to the url rewriting or similar.

I have checked the settings and they seem ok … I am attaching some screenshots.
