I Network-added this plugin, and Network-Activated it. Went to a sub-site (on this multisite installation) and visited its Plugin page to Activate for that site — immediately stripped out all wp-admin styles, and was black and white garble of wp-admin links and text. Is this plugin not “approved” for multi-site use? Would love to utilize its function, but can’t for this set of sites (6 total). Please advise?

  • If you’ve network-activated it, you do not need to activate it individually, it already is active.

if any active plugins or themes are affected for that site, You’ll see a message on its home dashboard.

    Hiya,

It should work just fine on multisite, as well as single site, and both with single activation, and network activation.

I did just do a test locally on a site with sub-directories used, but I won’t rule out that some odd interaction might have happened, could you share a bit more about your setup, maybe even a site health debug report?

Thanks for the responses… I have noticed that all the sites are reliant on a theme that is no longer being developed-for, and though updating to a modern theme allowed me to revert to WP v5.4.2 in other cases on single-site setups, I have a feeling the theme may be the underlying issue on not being able to revert this multi-site setup. So, my current solution is to continue to swap out the themes for a new one that is customized to be similar to the obsolete one. Thanks again.
