Broke the website and does not work with Age Verify

  • This plugin was tested on a production website and worked well. Therefore I installed it on the live website, where it worked fine… (still works fine — go figure). No one visiting, except me?

    Unfortunately, of course, 12 or so hours later no one can get on the website through the age-gate, plus the CSS is completely broken, once one is (thankfully!) able to login to the admin to see the damage.

    Ticked off the CSS options. Worked okay for another 12 hours… breaks the age-gate again.

    It’s not a good look. It’s a bucket of crap. Makes you look bad with client. Wouldn’t install it. Hopefully, it won’t be a problem to uninstall.

    sorry ’bout that, haven’t seen such behavior yet.

    could you describe what you mean with “breaks the age-gate”? is the aggregated CSS-file gone? do you see 404’s in your access logs? or is the file there, but is it empty? and were you running with “static” optimized files (default) or not (in which case the optimized files are served dynamically through PHP-code)?

    fyi; installed age verify on my testblog yesterday, works OK there. must have been something else messing things up.
