• This is ridiculous. I also had an issue with the upgrade completely killing my site, and now “Jetpack Lite” requires the full Jetpack plugin to be running – which the whole point of the plugin was to not have to have the full Jetpack installed.

1 strike and you’re out. Uninstall Jetpack Lite before it breaks your site, you can enable only Stats in the full Jetpack without having this guy’s buggy code (and bad attitude) do it for you.

Really, you run a raw “if ( ! is_plugin_active( ‘jetpack/jetpack.php’ ) )” and completely break a site if they didn’t have Jetpack installed? (This was the code before the 3.0.1 update), and have the nerve to post “Your WordPress installation is your responsability not mine (SIC)” before the above code is found out? That’s ridiculous.

Another unknown user, that never asked for support or giving any information about his problem, using rating without any respect, and talking about a past version that was replaced only a few hours later of the release.

Objetive rating? Only in his mind.

Oh and make sure to never download anything this condescending twerp puts out in the future. Breaking people’s sites and then trolling the comments insulting everyone when he feels the backlash of putting out bad code, nice job. Finally he plays the victim card about ‘I just wanted to put out a free plugin’ – save it buddy. How bout this: put out a quality plugin and charge for it. Oh, right, you would if you could.

    Dear anonymous user

I’m sure that you found very funny for you to create an user at www.remarpro.com only 2 months ago, without any information about you or your skills (if you have any) only to give the same kind of rating to another plugin simply because you don’t agree with the developer.

Your contribution to the WordPress community is amazing!! Keep on the good job!!

Thank you again for your disrespectful and useless opinion. I’m happy to see users like you leaving the use of my plugin.

This has been really interesting to read but it’s no longer about the Jetpack Lite plugin and this back and forth isn’t productive. I’m closing this review with some final thoughts of my own.

bizkit01? Sometimes plugin updates do break things and people get upset. It happens and especially in this instance there are other plugins to switch to. You can leave whatever review you like but try to avoid making it personal OK?

You don’t have to get into it with the plugin author. The author does not owe you anything and yes your installation really is your responsibility.

If you don’t like a plugin just review it and move on.

Samuel Aguilera? There are ways to disagree with your users (they’re not customers and that’s a totally different relationship) and my advice is perhaps walking?

Attacking the “anonymous user” really isn’t helpful. Most of the users here are anonymous and their opinions count.

If you don’t want to provide support for your plugin that’s fine. But try and remember that your replies reflect on you too. Do you really want to get into it with your users that way?
