• Updating to latest qTranslate X-version broke all language-tags (roughly 1300 pages) in Yoast SEO meta-description. The langauge-switcher in backend doesn’t work. I’m having 5 different languages, but language doesn’t change in SEO Yoast, when pressing another language.

The worst thing is really the meta-description as this will take me around a week to fix.

Why is this happening, and how should I fix it?

Thanks for your reply leslierad. Following his instructions fixed the switching-issue. Nevertheless my meta-descriptions is still mixed. All tags in meta-descriptions are gone, so I’ve to add them manually. This wouldn’t be a problem, if I had 3 pages. But 1300-pages, god………………..”/QY()”¤)%(/)”(

It’s more than likely your meta descriptions etc are still in your database, make a backup of the db before attempting anything else, then try downgrade to older versions of both plugins. If your meta data is visible after that you could try to update again. If that doesn’t work you may require the plugin author (John’s) help, you could open a ticket on github and he could advise you best. I’m pretty sure the meta data is still intact.
