Broke existing /podcast page

    I already had a page with the permalink of /podcast. The plugin grabs that link and breaks it with no settings option available. I uninstalled the plugin and my page is still broken – it is redirecting my existing page to the homepage instead of displaying it.

    Hi there. If you’re still experiencing the issue with the /podcast page with the plugin deactivated I would suggest changing and resaving your permalinks. Many times this has an effect on Custom Post Type related activities.

    Same problem, stupid plugin – I have hundreds of backlinks to those podcasts, my website is losing traffic because of your stupid plugin.

    Completely broken, refuses to go to the page and I can’t rename my podcast page. Your response makes no sense and is NOT a solution.

    Try this: go to Settings>Permalinks and just click on the Save Changes button on bottom (no need to make any changes). Then go to Appearance>Menus and replace the menu item for podcast from a “page” link to “custom URL” and manually enter the podcast link page or just enter /podcast in the URL field. If you have a caching plugin, clear the cache. Then check from a new browser or clear the cookies in your browser.

    That’s spot on and thanks for contributing such a great answer. I chatted with the original poster in our on-site chat to resolve this as well but yes generally when dealing with most things related to Custom Post Types resaving your permalinks will do the trick.
