I followed the instructions on a youtube guide that recommended your plugin. It didn’t mention anythig about not changing the wordpress or site url, so i don’t remember if this was set to https or not before.

What i do know is that i cant even log in to my WordPress dashboard anymore after enabling this plugin

You’ll need to delete the plugin and undo the changes you’ve made. Then follow our guide.

We can’t control what other guides talk about, even if they recommend our plugin – if you follow our steps, you should be fine.

As to HTTPS in your settings. If your site doesn’t have an SSL certificate installed, then you’ll need to reset it back to HTTP.

Also, most webhosts, even the poor ones I’d hope, offer free SSL certificates. There’s really no need to host without one – they’re free.

If I delete the plugin from ftp, will it be back to normal so i can log in back to WP? Are there any changes done to htaccess ?

I don’t have an SSL certificate, just chose the flexible SSL with cloudflare when i changed the name servers.

Actually i use godaddy which the worst of all webhosts. I do have only one SSL for my hosting plan, but this domain is an addon domain, so I can use another free SSL from godaddy for it.

If godaddy isn’t working for you, use another. It’s worth taking the pain now, and finding a host you like. It doesn’t matter where your domain name is purchased, either.

Find a host that works well for you, and go with it. Or you’ll be paying a much greater price in the long run.

As to our plugin, nothing is changed on your site, like .htaccess.

But, will it work again? I don’t know. I don’t know what things you’ve changed. Like I said, if you changed to HTTPS when you don’t have an SSL cert, then it wont work.

    Best of luck.
