• Hello,

I am using the Broadcast plugin to clone a post to a 2nd site and publicize the post on a Facebook page as well. The cloning of the post to the 2nd site seems to work well, but when publicized via Jetpack, it creates either 2 different version of the same post on FB (one with Page Not Found, or a duplicate post of the same post) depending on the configurations. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to publicize only one post on FB while maintaining the 2 posts on the 2 different sites. I read somewhere that you need to blacklist custom fields such as ‘_wpas???’, etc, but that doesn’t seem to work. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated, thank you.

There is a Jetpack add-on for Broadcast, but I’ve only tested it with a connected Twitter account and it doesn’t quite solve the exact problem you have.

It solves the problem of the post not being publicized at all, not dupes.

But, again, haven’t tested it with a connected Facebook. If you like, I can give you access to a demo site where you can set up Jetpack with your Facebook account so we can test the Broadcast Jetpack add-on there? E-mail me in that case.

    Thanks for your reply.

Yeah, it looks like it doesn’t really solve the exact problem I have. I guess there is no possible solution to it? Do you know if there is a filter that can prevent the duplicate on social media? I heard post metas was the thing that determines the publicizing on social media. Thanks again in advance.

No idea about filters, but I’m thinking there must be a Jetpack action that needs to be unhooked.

The best place to test this would be on the demo site.
