Broadcast and convert post-to-cpt

  • Sorry if this has been asked before but my search is failing me.

    Has anyone ever set up ThreeWP Broadcast to broadcast and then convert the post type?

    Site 1 is a news site.
    Site 2 is a blog.

    News site (1) wants to display the blog’s posts (2) as “news.” It wants to “sprinkle” blog posts in its news stream. Of course, when we broadcast Site 2’s posts they become posts on Site 1, not news. Nothing wrong with the plugin. We just want to change the post type on or after broadcast. Not sure if the plugin does this, if it’s covered by an add-on or if there’s another plugin that can do it in conjunction.

    This is definitely something that could be easily solved by a custom plugin.

    Just ask your developer to look at the threewp_broadcast_before_restore_current_blog action to just change the post type.
