Bringing it all together

First off thanks for all the help that’s helped me get my site off the ground. Now that it’s complete, I’m ready to move onto a new project (read:bored).

My site is a political blog, one of many run by students around the nation. It’s helped many of us gain exposure to issues and concerns that we feel really need some attention. I wanted to take this a step further, however, and need some help.

I was discussing the possibility of having a centralized blog that would bring together posts from different sites around the blogosphere. I believe that this could be possible through RSS, but I am not quite sure how to go about it.

Is it possible to have a blog post rss feeds when they become available? And from various sources? And if so, can anyone point me to some resources?

I’ve searched and searched but can’t find a direct answer to my inquiry. I was hoping that by writing here I might be able to find some answers. If any of y’all volunteers could help me, I’d be much obliged!
