bringing back posts?

Do you still have your wordpress database or not? Do you have a backup?

If not, then perhaps your host has a backup for you, but if they don’t have one, then you won’t get your posts back.

All your posts are on the database, they aren’t static files.

Chris Lin was able to get his posts back when the same basically happened to him. Hopefully that’ll help.

Oh my, memories.

PAINFUL MEMORIES. It took me 1-2 days to recover all my posts that I wanted. Not the comments though, that would’ve taken another few days.
