Brilliant – Reduces Server Waste

This is an essential plugin to reduce disk space use for any image-heavy website. If in the past I needed an image cropped for a particular layout (say a homepage featured callout) I would reluctantly set up another image size in WordPress. Every time I uploaded an image, another copy was created on the server. Nightmare.

This plugin solves all that by creating those custom images on the fly. I still set up my thumbnails, medium, and large image sizes as normal, but this plugin fills in the gaps where I need a specific image for a singular purpose.

As an added bonus, you can easily change the size of those images by simply changing the size array in your template code. No need to regenerate ALL your thumbnails for ALL your images anymore.

It keeps things clean, it runs fast, and it saves on server resources. Win win win. Great work!
