Brightcove plugin problems

When using the newest version (v30) of the brightcove plugin with wordpress version 2.0.3 (yes, i know i should upgrade) everytime I use the embedPlayer(ID) call, the video will show up, but it copies whatever text i’ve typed twice.

For example, the website would look like this:

Hello world

Video

Hello world
embedPlayer(ID)
______________________________________________

I can’t figure out why it is repeating what I type in. I’ve tried to disable various plugins, thinking that maybe there was a conflict with the embedPlayer call.
