Breeze settings will not reflect because there is file permission issue

You have to select app-user as I also mentioned in my previous screenshot.
Right now root user is selected and it’s not reset the permission.
kindly select the app user. I have attached the screenshot to select app users.

After resetting the permission with the app user then click on the save change button of Breeze settings.

This worked for me. Thank you.

For me the message went away when I hit SAVE.

If the install is fresh the file advanced_cache.php is not there until you hit save.

Getting same error here. Any update?

Hi,

the error-message has an error. In the plugin code there are these lines:

		// Advanced cache file.
		$file = $wp_content_dir . 'advanced-cache.php';

		if ( ! is_writable( $file ) ) {
			self::append_permission_error( $file . __( ' file is not writable.', 'breeze' ) );
		}

is_writable() is “false” when the file exists and is not writable. Which is fine. But when the file does not exist it is “false” too.

So in this case you simply have to save the breeze-config again, the plugin will create the file and the error-message is gone. So: the error message in this case is not correct. Can you please set a different text for this case?

Hi I tried to save Breeze config and the message is still there, no advanced-cache.php is created on the path mentioned. Any updated about this?? Thank you

Yes I did, the advanced-cache.php file is not created and the notice banner doesn’t dissapear. I spoke to cloudways and they mentioned that you guys are working on fixing the issue, is that correct? thank you
