• The plugin update has broken almost every site I am using this on (only a few are still working–which is hundreds of sites down!! Some were set for auto-update and they are all down and I am getting bombarded with support calls, chats, emails! Any fix?

This is the message I am sending out:

This may or may not affect you, but if your portal site is down and giving the following message:

“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

It is the LearnPress Plugin that did an update. It is being confirmed by the ISP.

Either FTP to the plugin directory and disable (just rename learnpress.old, etc. – do NOT delete), or have your ISP do it (takes seconds). I am in contact with the vendor. Once fixed, we can turn it back on.

  • I had the same issue this morning. For me, I have automatic updates enabled and the the plugin was automatically updated to version 4.2.5.1 overnight. The plugin page shows the latest release is version 4.2.5.2 and the version I have isn’t even listed in their changelog on that page. I manually upgraded the plugin to 4.2.5.2 and it resolved my issue issue.

I assume they pulled the version 4.2.5.1 release because of the issue and replaced it with the fixed version 4.2.5.2.
