@frequencycast – Does the issue persist if you use the latest release of NextGEN Gallery (currently 2.1.57 … with another minor release due out this week)?

Yes, problem persists with 2.1.57

@frequencycast – I’m still not seeing the issue in my test sites, can you share a specific example of the shortcode you are using as the reference in the OP is not what I see when testing the Slideshow plugin.

The shortcode in use on our front page is [slideshow_deploy id=’2228’]

With 2.1.60, the slideshow that you’ll see at the moment (above “What We Do”), doesn’t appear.

However, sinec the stated reason for the upgrade of Nextgen are security related we are not in a position to roll back the update.

Can anyone suggest why this might have happened and if any work-around has been found?

@frequencycast – Unfortunately without NextGEN Gallery activated on that site we cannot offer much more in the way of troubleshooting ideas as we are still not able to reproduce the problem ourselves.

Thanks for taking the time to respond Cais, I felt it was more useful to post in a topic that was relevant and not start a new topic about what appears to be the exact same issue.

My gut instinct is that there may be an overlap in shortcodes used. However I’ll gather some more information and post yet another topic on the matter.

To assist in that, is there an easy way to try different versions of Nextgen?

@gomisan – Although all stable releases of NextGEN Gallery are available via the “Developers” tab we do not recommend rolling back to them due to many reasons.
