When this plugin is activated the standard ‘filter by registered customer’ search box doesn’t work.

It displays matching email addresses fine, but when you select the address and click ‘filter’ to load the results it loads a page with no results.

Everything else is working just great though!

    Hello,

Thanks for letting me know about your issue.

I believe indeed that the plugin completely shortcuts the existing filters.

I don’t think it would be easy to “merge” the behaviors though. Unless of course we re-implement some of the filters when querying Algolia.

If you are dependent on that registered customer filter, you could disable the plugin to take over the backend search.

Let me know if that is a viable option in your case.

Thanks again for raising the issue. To be honest I didn’t even realize that this didn’t work ??

We’re only using this plugin for the backend of the site so no point disabling it there!

For now I have just removed the filter from the interface to avoid confusing the shop admins.

It’s a handy feature to have available though so if there was a way to make them both work alongside that would be cool ??

When I mentioned Backend, I meant in opposition to the frontend autocomplete experience.
From your comment, I feel like you are saying that by backend you understood WordPress admin.

My point about disabling the backend search should only affect the results when submitting the search input. If you are leveraging only Algolia with the autocomplete, you could disable backend feature.

I feel like I’m not being super clear, sorry about that. Let me know if there is anything I can clarify more.
