• I was first trying this on a premium theme, then on the Magnus which is a free theme I’m working out right now.

After I activate this plugin, I get this error on a grey screen and site is broken:

WordPress database error: [Table ‘[databasenamehere].spr_8_alm’ doesn’t exist] SELECT * FROM spr_8_alm WHERE name = ‘default’

I don’t know what this means, please advise, really want to use your plugin, wonder if it could be an incompatibility with a different plugin at the same time

    Hi Kosmikk,
Can you try deactivating and then reactivating the plugin?

    Hi Dcooney!

The only way to deactivate the plugin becomes through the ftp [by renaming the plugin], then the site works again,

then if I try renaming the plugin in ftp back to its normal name, it breaks the site again [plugin seems to remain activated]

The error message makes it appear that the table does not exist.
The table is created on plugin activation.

Tried it with another free theme, same thing.

Now when I rename it back to its original name, plugin doesn’t become active by itself. But whenever I activate it, I get that message and the site is broken.

Sorry, never heard of this issue before. Must be something to do with your set up.

The only thing I can think about this setup, is that it is a multisite.

Could that be the issue do you think?

It could be. Plugin has been tested on multisite, but i guess there could be a bug somewhere.

Again, the error is saying the table doesnt exist in the DB. So it’s as if it’s not being activated.

I tried reactivating the plugin after the update hoping maybe something would be different, but it’s still the same, although I noticed that it doesn’t break the site, it breaks the dashboard, I still get that same message when attempting to activate.

I was wondering if there is some sort of debug we can do, so that this bug can be found out?

Not that I can think of…

What error on your dashboard are you getting?

    Thread Starter kosmikk

    (@kosmikk)

It isn’t an error on the dashboard, it’s when I try to go to the dashboard [once the plugin is active] or right after the plugin is activated I get a grey screen with the message of error:

WordPress database error: [Table ‘[databasenamehere].spr_8_alm’ doesn’t exist] SELECT * FROM spr_8_alm WHERE name = ‘default’

unless I deactivate the plugin through ftp, I won’t be able to access the dashboard [keep getting that error], while the site itself is visible but the plugin is not doing what it should.

There must be an issue with compatibility with your theme and/or your server set up.

Sorry, I’m just not sure how I can you here.
