    Hi,

After the last update, which sounded so great, my website behaves very strangely.
Everything is OK, but after a few hours the layout will be broken, like no CSS exists, only text and link will be on the page.
So I guess this is a CSS problem. But no matter what I do, it works OK, even when clearing cache and browser cache it looks OK. BUT after a few hours it will be broken.
I tried disabling CSS optimizations one by one, until I disabled them all. The last one I disabled was CSS combine, a feature that I really want.

The thing is everything was OK until the last update. So why is this happening after the update? The new features are turned off.

I use the DIVI theme, Elementor and Beaver builder

    thank you

  • My hint to you @dreamsoft:

    Rollback to 3.6.4!

This new UCSS and Guest Mode is worthless at this stage, they modify all the engine to generate a Critical CSS path in a new way who ends consuming a lot more bandwidth, stress more their and our servers and breaks our websites. Quic.cloud credits empty in ours (free accounts) and this lets your site with a broken CSS. Unbelievable!

If you have a very small wordpress site, with a lightweight content, well you don’t see most of problems… but the majority of users here will suffer with this new and broken update.

Rollback to 3.6.4 or find another solution until devs at least assumes the mess they made in this update…

I’ve been away from my sites for some time, and when I came back I decided to update to 5.8. Even when disabling my plugins first, this completely breaks my site (the white screen critical error message.)
I completely deleted and reinstalled WP on a dev site and it works fine, but updating breaks everything. Any thoughts?

I don’t even have critical CSS enabled. but this update really breaks everything. I basically pay for Litespeed on my server, the module should work. Instead, it breaks everything. I can’t really use it. If the page is not broken, then the menu will not work, and I keep disabling stuff, and now I have to disable basically all the optimizations. Still, I need optimizations. And I have Litespeed on my server, so I should change that too if this is so broken

    Hi,

    Apologize for the inconvenient experience

based on your description , please check if Cache -> Purge -> serve stale is enabled or not

and also please provide the report number , you can get it in toolbox -> report -> click “send to LiteSpeed”

and may I konw if that is wordpress network , or individual wordpress site ?

    Best regards,

@dreamsoft i have the same situation on site built with beaver builder so i had to go back to 3.6.4 version because 4.2 made the mess with css combined files.

just a short confirmation that I face the same problem on a site made with divi

    @qtwrk individual WordPress site
serve stale was enabled – but I disabled it yesterday. the site appears to load OK now, but I can’t be sure after all that has happened. Plus, I disabled almost all the page optimizations, and I would like to turn them back on, safely

    Report number: URQPJVGK

    thank you

I have seen cases like this before due to serve stale

if that was enabled and now has disabled, please try only enable JS or CSS minify , wait for few hours/days , see how it goes

    Hi,

I’m going to mark this topic “Resolved”, due to lack of activity.

If you still need help, please feel free to re-open it.

When re-open it, please also change the topic status to “not solved”

    Best regards,

For me the plugin has become totally unusable, whatever I set it up to it won’t work. Just Divi, no 3rd party Builder.

..and now I understand why this is. Divi got a “performance” update which won’t work well with any caching plugin. Didn’t notice before.
