Break on ErrorCopy $("#portfolio-slideshow1").cycle is not a function

    I’m getting this error for some reason. the plugin stopped cycling a few weeks ago, so I upgraded and downgraded and have tried everything I can think of. Why isn’t the cycle plugin loading, and is that what’s even happening?

    Here’s the site – https://breathingroomcenter.com/ with the most recent version installed.

    As you can see, the images all display down the page.

    The client is teaching a class for the next few hours, so hopefully I can sort this out. Thank you..

    Okay, conflict with a Mailchimp signup form. Resolved.

    That’s a pretty popular one, I’ll take a look into it and see if I can work around it. Thanks for letting me know.

    I tried out the official Mailchimp widget and didn’t have any problem with a conflict. Please do send along any more information if you can.

    I′m having the same error trying this plugin offline, Downloaded the file from google, but still, arent working offline.

    I like this simple plugin alot but I want to customize the output a bit.

    If you view the HTML source of your page, can you verify that jQuery and cycle are both being loaded properly and are links to valid files? Also, make sure that jQuery is only loaded once on the page.

    Hey, Dalton thanks for getting back. I’m not exactly sure when this started happening unfortunately, but when I first built the site both the P_Slideshow and the official Mailchimp plugin were coexisting in harmony. At some point the client noticed that the Mailchimp widget was no longer working. It just gave a red error warning where the widget should’ve been, so I went to Mailchimp and just used the code that they give you there for planting the signup form on your site.

    That form worked just fine, but sometime after that the client noticed that the slideshow wasn’t cycling. The appropriate JS files were all there, and I was about to start hacking to try and include cycle manually, but then noticed that if I took the Mailchimp form down the slideshow worked fine. If you’re around right now, she’s about to have another class, so it might be a decent time for me to put the form back up if you want to try and find the bug.

    I am actually not able to look into this right now, but if you give me a few more clues I will keep trying.

    Did you paste the Mailchimp code directly into your template, or into the WordPress text widget?

    If you can post a pastebin of the mailchimp code, I will try it on my test server and see what happens.

    I’m getting the same Uncaught “TypeError: Object #<an Object> has no method ‘cycle'” on my page and I don’t run almost any plugins at all :/

    Your slideshow looks fine to me on Google Chrome. Which browser are you using?
