    Hi there,

normally you may use basic HTML code like <br> in Titles. But it does not work for the webpage title if inserted via the Customizer. It just interprets <br> as pure text. Is there are a possibility to force the Webpage title in a new or 2 lines? regards

    Hey there,

There is a security filter that is causing the HTML to output in this way. It could potentially be removed, but I can probably come up with some CSS to add the line break instead.

Please link me to the site and let me know where you want the title to break into a new line and I can post a solution here.

    Hello!

Thanks for the quick reply. The side is still behind an under construction line. If you need to work on my css.files I may create an account for you.

The title of the webpage is: “Online-Weinkurs von Wein verstehen leicht gemacht”

The break should be as follows: “Online-Weinkurs von<br>Wein verstehen leicht gemacht”

    Thank you!

I couldn’t get the CSS working right for this title, so I just created a child theme for you instead. You can download it here: download Chosen child theme

The child theme can be installed like a regular theme through the Appearance > Add New menu, and once installed, you will be able to add HTML into the site title.

    Thank you!

Can you name it pleas Child2 because I’m running already a child theme. The system doesn’t let me install it, because there is already one with the exact same name.

Gotcha. In that case, what we want to do is to combine the customizations into one child theme.

If you download the child theme I shared, you’ll find it has a logo.php file inside. That’s the only file you need. You can upload it to your site via FTP into this place on your server:

    /wordpress/wp-content/themes/chosen-child-theme

This way, you’ll include the customization in your existing child theme and you won’t need to reinstall anything.

    Hello Again!

I uploaded the logo.php into the child themes folder, but the <br> in the webpage title isn’t resolved and shown again as plain text “Online-Weinkurse von <br>Wein verstehen leicht gemacht”

Sorry. Needs another update. Here’s a new download for just the logo.php file: https://screenshot.competethemes.com/mXuBYLzj
