    Hi,
I am trying to achieve three 90 minute appointment slots in a day at 10, 12.30 and 2.30.

I have the base time set to 30 minutes and the service time set to 120 minutes (to allow for padding) and I only have one service and one service provider.

The working hours are set from 10am to 4pm and I have set the break hours from 12pm – 12.30pm for both the single service provider, and ‘No specific provider’.

I believe this should give me what I’m after – a 10 til 12 appointment, 30 mins offset for lunch, then a 12.30-2.30 followed by a 2.30-4.30 (I have ‘Allow overwork (end of day)’ set to ‘Yes’ to allow the 2.30 appt to overrun the 4pm Work hours).

However, my calendar only shows 10am, 12pm and 2pm appointment slots and the ‘Break hours’ seem to be ignored no matter how much fiddling, cache clearing or support thread reading and applying I do! Any help would be much appreciated ??

  • Hi @scampsall,

    I hope you’re well today! ??

Sorry for the delay here, let’s see how we can sort this! I believe what you’re seeing is actually the default plugin behavior. But I think it’s the padding you’ve added that isn’t allowing the booking in the times you want.

The premium version has a feature for padding but this free version doesn’t. What you can do though is use the code provided here:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/appointment-padding-time#post-406737

There’s a bit of detail explained on how that works there as well.

Could you let me know how that might work for you in this case?

If I’ve misunderstood anything, feel free to let me know. I’ll be happy to see how I can clarify. ??

    Thanks,
    David

    Hi David,
Thanks for the reply, however I’m afraid it hasn’t addressed my issue. I had already found that snippet to change the appointment length displayed to the service user, but my issue is that the appointments displayed as available in my front end are incorrect.

I have set my appointment times up as outlined above but any break I set appears to be ignored. So, whilst I have set a break from 12-12.30pm, for both a specific provider and no specific provider, my calendar still offers an appointment at 12pm. If it would take on board the break I had set then my appointment times should be correct. Any ideas? Thanks for your time ??

    Hi @scampsall,

    Thank you for your reply.

Make sure you are using latest version of Appointments plugin.

Could you please share us the screenshot of your Appointments Working Hours Settings so that we can troubleshoot it?

For screenshots, you can simply provide a link to an image through Google Drive, Dropbox, screencast.com, https://imgur.com/ or other image service. ??

Also please share us your appointment page link so that we can test it.

    Regards,
