Breadcrumbs & Woocommerce
-
Hi, you’ve saved my sanity. Thank you ??
I’m using Permalinks Customizer to combat my duplicate slugs issues with woocommerce and product categories. I simply wanted:- /mens/trousers/long/red
- /womens/trousers/long/red
And could not!!! But with your plugin I can. I simply don’t use woocommerce categories, instead I use pages and a plugin which enables me to ‘categorise’ products on each page by tags ‘WooCommerce Display Products by Tags.’ Now, all is well, my products can be nested into directories with the aid of you marvellous plugin.
Hovever, my breadcrumbs have failed to work nicely on product pages. Ordinary pages work well. Thus, ordinary pages have a breadcrumb like this:- mens > trousers > long
But, the product pages, itself, has a breadcrumb missing the middle bits:
- mens > red
This is because my products are not in any product categories at all. But, my permalink has directories and looks like this: mens/trousers/long/red. Everything else seems to pay attention to this. Yoast SEO uses it correctly in its snippet as does NGFB Pro in its sharing url. All is good everywhere else, it seems.
I have tried Woocommerce Breadcrumbs and Yoast Breadcrumbs so far. Both give me results with the missing directories like:
- mens > red
I’m wondering if anybody else has breadcrumbs working correctly, paying attention to the new permalinks generated by your plugin. I see there are several different breadcrumb plugins, which one would anybody recommend that works well with Permalinks Customizer.
Be happy for ever,
Steve
