On my site I have a section called “Shop” which is the root for my WooCommerce store.
When I open that section the rootnav shows:
You are here: Home / Shop

But then, if I open category it will update to:
You are here: Home / Wetsuits

    And in a product view:
You are here: Home / Wetsuits / Sapatos Specialized GF35443

So it seems it’s stripping the main section from the breadcrumbs.
Any tips on how to solve this?

  • Same thing here. Even with the product permalink base set to shop base with category: /shop/%product_cat%

    Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. Add me to the list. I would like to have the breadcrumbs show

    You are here >home>shop>category>product

But once the product has been selected, it shows home>product

    Solution?

    Thank you in advance

Well, it seems like no one is listening to this plugins issues.
Essentially you need to configure permalinks to have the shop base category visible in the url structure. Once you do that, the shop base page will be show in the breadcrumbs menu.

@lmartins I’ve tried this and it still isn’t working for me.

    Here are my settings:
    Product-Category Base to: /shop/product-category
    Product-Tag Base to: /shop/product-tag
    Custom Base to: /shop/%product_cat%

    Please let me know.
    Thanks

My configuration is actually simpler than yours, it only has the “Custom Base” set to: “shop”.

Are you using Genesis framework, SEO by Yoast or any other plugin that might be changing the breadcrumbs navigation?

I’m using the Genesis Framework, but no other plugins that are changing breadcrumbs. I’ve even tried deactivating all but Genesis Connect for WooCommerce and the problem is still there. I tried using the settings you are using as well, with no luck.
