We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems that might be caused by our plugin!
Can you confirm you’re using the latest version of Yoast SEO and WordPress?
If those are updated but still the issue persists, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?
Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.
As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.
Hello Suwash, thank you for your kind reply.
I have deactivated all non-Yoast plugins and switched to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen but nothing changed.
Is it possible is a matter of setting?
I have enabled breadcrumb in Yoast seo settings. Than, on a page, I go to Yoast seo > Advanced > Breadcrumb Title.
There I have inserted the title I want to display.E.g. If the page title is “welcome”, changing the Breadcrumb Title, into “welcome here”, than the breadcrumb should display “welcome here”. Right?

Hi,
We understand the breadcrumbs are not appearing on your site. We would like some more information.
1. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.5.3? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.
2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?
3. We had another recent release. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO Premium, v15.3? If you update, does the issue resolve?
4. Can you also confirm you have implemented the Yoast breadcrumbs on the site? You would need to copy/paste a set of code into the theme’s functions.php file. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/help/implement-wordpress-seo-breadcrumbs/#implement.
Hello and thanks for your kind reply.
I confirm that using the code into the page.php I can see the breadcrumb.
The only thing is that this is not using the breadcrumb of the theme which use https://schema.org/BreadcrumbList
Do you think there is a way to show the customized breadcrumb into the theme without using the code into page.php?
Thanks a lot for your support.
Filippo
Hi,
You will need to use the theme’s breadcrumbs or the Yoast breadcrumbs. However, we can confirm that the Yoast breadcrumbs are expected to output a Breadcrumblist schema item in the source code.
You may want to disable the theme’s breadcrumbs and use the Yoast ones. Then check the source code to check that the right schema is being created. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/help/view-page-source-site/.
The only other solution would be to develop on the Yoast plugin to integrate the Yoast breadcrumbs into the theme’s. Unfortunately, there’s a difference between the support we can offer and the level of programming needed to change (core) features of our plugin. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. And even though we cannot be of any assistance, you’re completely free to change anything in the plugin to better suit your needs.
We highly recommend checking out?our list of Yoast Partners here https://yoast.com/yoast-partners/ in case you are in need of development.
We will also keep this issue open for 1 week in case someone from the community can help. Perhaps a developer watching these forums can assist further. After which, we will close in order to keep the overview.
Thank you so much!
@visitmontaione You’re welcome. We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved but please let us know if you require any further assistance.
Hello Carl, yes it is solved.
Thank you!Hello Carl, sorry of I open again this post but there is something more that is not working with YoastSEO Breadcrumb.
When I insert the text in advanced > breadcrumb title and than I save, at the first moment it seems it keep the title. But when you change language and you do the same thing, the previous language I have edited, lost the breadcrumb title.
It seems incredible, but that’s it!
Do you know why?
Manny thanks for your help.
Hello after several tests, I still notice that when I insert the breadcrumb title and I save, at first sight I can see on the browser the right breadcrumb title.
When I edit the breadcrumb in another language and I save, than the previous breadcrumb title disappear…
How can I solve?
Many thanks.
