    Is shoes a subcategory of clothes? Can you provide a URL?

    I just tested it and it works as expected for subcategories for me.

    shoes is the product.
    My website is under maintenance so I have not a url.

    I have only make a category with product. Not a subcategory.

    Category = Clothes
    – product = Shoes

    Breadcrumbs are generated according to the URL structure.

    If you need the url structure set to category/product, please see the Smarter Product URLs extension. It will do the job.
