Breadcrumbs links break with translated slugs

    Hello,

    I’ve been using the Essential Real Estate plugin translated in French via LocoTranslate. I translated all slugs and changed them in the ERE URL slugs section (I didn’t edit any code). But when I set up the breadcrumbs functionality with Yoast SEO, it uses the original slug. I managed to change the post type slug in Custom post type archives/Search appearance which solved half the issue, but I’m unable to do the same with Taxonomies.

    I’m using WordPress 5.4.2 and Yoast 14.5 and my other plug-ins are all up to date. Any help with this would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Hmm, we’re not familiar with the specific plugin, but we guess by only translating the plugin strings through Loco translate, the actual slugs and functionality of the plugin isn’t changed and therefore it shows the original slug in the breadcrumbs.

    We quickly installed the ERE plugin and checked the settings. It has settings to change the slug of properties under Appearance → Real Estate Options → URL slug.

    However, we confirm that the breadcrumb still lists Properties as the name. We encourage you to ask for support on the ERE plugin forums to see if they can have other options or solutions for this. I did see you’ve opened up a forum ticket with them already, please let us know what they’ve found.
