    Dear Forum

I have a small question about the breadcrumb in Yoast. We are currently using it for our website (normal pages) and would like to extend it to our blog, which will be accessible under https://www.Homepage.com/blog or another name in the future. However, we haven’t figured out how to properly apply the breadcrumb to blogs.

Currently it looks like this when I navigate to a blog post:
    URL: https://www.Homepage.com/blog/name of the blog
Breadcrumb: Homepage => Name of the blog

How we would like it to look:
    URL: https://www.homepage.com/blog/name of the blog
Breadcrumb: Homepage => blog => Name of the blog

We have seen that you can indicate categories. But this is not suitable for the mass of categories we have, because the visitor could get lost there.

    Thanks in advance

If I understand you correctly, you would like to show “Blog” in the breadcrumb path as Home >> Blog >> postname. Is this correct?

If so, there is a breadcrumb settings in Yoast SEO. Please go to SEO > click on ‘Search Appearance’ > Breadcrumbs (tab) and make sure the ‘Show Blog page’ toggle is enabled.

I hope this helps. Please let us know and elaborate a bit further if that was not your requirement.

    Hey there,
    thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately, this does not solve my problem.
The breadcrumbs are enabled for me, but unfortunately do not point to the “blogs” collection page when I am on an individual post.
I can only set them to point to a category and not to “blogs”.
I can choose from “Setting in search” => “Breadcrumbs” => drop-down for posts only from category, keyword and post format. If I don’t select any Off the breadcrumb for a single blog looks like this:
Home => name of the blog, while the URL is Home => blogs => name of the blog.

It is unfortunately very difficult to explain the whole thing

Let me try to illustrate with some additional screenshots on the steps:

    1. Blog page in reading settings https://tinyurl.com/ygrccato
    2. Breadcrumb setting in Yoast SEO: https://tinyurl.com/ykxa9l8u
    3. Breadcrumb output: https://tinyurl.com/yh2t3d6s

Can you please confirm if this the expected output?

    Thank You.
I didn′t check, that the static page for Blogs enables a new Setting in the Breadcrumbs for Yoast.
    This solved my Problem
