    I am getting the following error in the Search Console – but I haven’t edited these pages for a very long time. I think it is a bug due to Yoast version upgrade.

    @jetxpert Thanks for suggesting this. Should I downgrade or wait for a fix? I remember a similar issue with FAQ schema. Yoast had released an emergency fix.

    @sagarchaudhuri,

    Update Yoast to V16.5 and read the solution(s) provided in the link we provided. Together, they may help solve your issue.

    It appears your website does not use Breadcrumbs anyway, so don’t worry about the errors for now. The errors will not impact your SEO ranking(s) and will be corrected once you follow our advice.

    Great website, by the way. Clean and loads very fast.

    Cheers!

    @jetxpert Thanks. There seems to a Version 16.6-RC3 as well. Will upgrading to that help?

    @sagarchaudhuri,

    Never update a plugin from a site other than WordPress (backend) or unless directed by the plugin author/developer. The plugin version you mentioned is from GitHub WordPress SEO. RC stands for “Release Candidate” so it’s not fully vetted and ready for release.

    Again, read the link we provided. You may find a solution there.

    Cheers!

    Hi @sagarchaudhuri

    It looks like you’ve upgraded straight to v16.6-RC3. As mentioned, this release candidate isn’t final and ready for release just yet.

    Would it be possible for you to try out the latest official version of v16.5 and see if this fixes the issue with those reported pages missing the ‘name’ field in the breadcrumbs?

    (@sagarchaudhuri)

    @mikes41720 @jetxpert I have downgraded to v16.5 and tried checking in the Search Console. The issue persists.

    Please see the screenshot. https://ibb.co/3Mxx61Y

    Do you advise me to downgrade to 16.1.1?

    @sagarchaudhuri We can imagine how seeing an error in the Google Search Console could possibly give you a pause. Let’s see what’s going on here.

    We’ve checked with our developers and in-house SEO experts, and they’ve confirmed that this is not an actual error being reported by Google’s Rich Results and Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool.

    We’re aware of the reported errors you’re currently seeing in the Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs site audit due to the Yoast SEO schema markup for the breadcrumbs.

    Our development team is currently working on enhancing the breadcrumbs schema output to bring the relevant missing properties back. This fix will likely be available in the next update i.e. v16.6 update.
