Breadcrumb: How to Add Category to Page Taxonomy?

    I have a blog page. That blog page links to categories. I want the breadcrumb path to display like this: Home >> Blog Page >> Category

    The problem is the when we get to the category, the breadcrumb looks like this:
    Home >> Category

    The goal is something like the yoast.com blog breadcrumb:
    Home >> SEO Blog Page >> SEO Technical CEO Archives

    How is this accomplished?

  • The way I did this, was to go to Search Appearance>> Taxonomies>> Categories.

    Click on YES to show categories in search results, but then make sure you scroll down to the bottom and click on REMOVE to remove the category prefix.

    In your permalinks, set them to a custom structure and add /%category%/%postname%/

    Sounds barmy I know, but it seems to work!
