• The editor has come a very long way since it’s initial conception. It’s been neat following the progress along the way, bringing Gutenberg to it’s full potential.

I am absolutely stoked about Gutenberg and am confident the project will empower users to publish content on a whole different level.

This is an exciting time to be a WordPress developer!

  • Our team has been following the development of Gutenberg and using the Gutenberg code to help learn how to write code in a JS/React/WordPress environment.

It’s great you are so excited @richtabor. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and also for exploring Gutenberg. Is there anything excites you specifically about it?

    Sure @karmatosed,

I’ve been a WordPress publisher for some time now, and like most developers/seasoned WordPress-ers, I relied only on the code editor – not the visual editor. That’s not because working in the visual editor was an awful experience, but because the code editor was comfortable and “just works”. Gutenberg will impart that same sort of confidence, but for every single user who adopts it.

I’ve been really diving into block development and I’m confident that Gutenberg will fundamentally change WordPress in such a good fashion. After developing blocks and experimenting in Gutenberg pretty heavily over the last couple of months, writing posts the “classic” way feels akin to typing with one hand tied behind your back… maybe even both!

Plus, whenever I’m using the classic editor, I find myself consistently hovering for that little (+) icon to add another header or the like…

Gutenberg is an exciting change, and now that the editor is just around the corner – it’s more apparent than ever how necessary this change is.
