Brand new install of WordPress, I get a fatal error on activation

  • Wordpress 4.7.2

    I install the plug, click to activate, and get this:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/xxx/xxx/wp-content/plugins/affiliateimporteram/AffiliateImporterAm.php on line 60

    I’ll see if I can edit line 60 and get past this error.
