Braintree gateway SLOW

    Hi, i have braintree plugin installed on my woocommerce test and production sites.
    On test everything is ok, work faster and it’s fantastic, no problem with server or theme or another plugin.
    On production, if i activate the plugin, the shop part of website go so sloooooow (30 – 40s for loading page). There’s some config settings error in my production server?
    – PHP 7.2
    – allow_url_fopen : on
    – opcache : on
    – short_open_tag : on
    – max_execution_time : 60
    – memory_limit : 128M

    Please help me.

    Hi @matteolcd,

    The sandbox and production code is the same for the plugin so yes I believe there is something different between your test site and production site.

    I’d take a look to see if you have any additional plugins installed on your production site that could be slowing it down.

    hi @mrclayton, thanks for your answer.
    The production and the local site are the same, because i upload my production website into my local. I think the problem is in the hosting server, you know if there are some requirement server specific configuration?

    Hi @matteolcd,

    There aren’t any special server requirements beyond what’s needed to run a WordPress instance.

    What hosting provider are you using? It’s possible they are experiencing some latency?

    @mrclayton we use hostingsolution, and it’s very hard to have support. The Braintree behavior it’s strange beacuse if i disable plugin the checkout go faster. I think there’s a lot of server request and the server slow down for this reason

    @matteolcd,

    If you set your production site to sandbox mode is it still slow? I wonder if you’re being rate limited for outbound requests.

    @mrclayton, yes if i use sandbox braintree mode in production the website is still slow

    Hi @matteolcd,

    Any update on your end regarding your production server? I am going to set this to resolved for now since this slowness is not caused by the plugin.

    Hi @mrclayton, no news About server. I’ve install site on free Sandbox and the plugin working fine..i think the problem is in the server, i don’t know where but i think is there. Unfortunatly the server helpdesk is not very collaborative to risolve problem, thanks for your support
