    Sorry for the late reply.

    The message you are seeing means that your host is blocking port 993 so GMail cannot connect. I’m guessing you are on a shared host.

    If you are interested, there is a new mode available in the plugin that is more friendly for shared hosts, but does require using an external service and some configuration. If you want to be a tester, please grab the latest development version:

    And on the settings page, for “Mode”, select “Inbound” and follow these instructions:
