BP-Messages not working on BP 3.1

    We’ve recently updated BuddyPress to Version 3.1 and your plugin BP Better Messages to Version 1.9.7.4 on our staging site. WordPress Version is 4.9.6.

    We noticed that the messages tab of the user profiles stopped working (shows blank page), it also breaks the page itself a bit; for example, the WordPress Adminbar disappears when going to the message tab.

    Any idea, why this issue is being caused? We made sure that the “chat page” in the plugin settings is set to “disabled”.
