Box Scores

  • I am unable to import box scores in a totally new event.

    The import shows that xx rows are imported but then in the event that doesn’t reflect.

    Please support.

    Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry for the trouble.

    Please kindly send us a screenshot of your CSV file (you can open it using excel or a text editor) just so we can see if there are any obvious issues in it.

    Before you import box-scores you must confirm that the players involved are already created and assigned to that event/match.

    I’ve not done that. However what sense does the excel sheet upload make if I first have to take the trouble to add names manually? If I’m adding names manually which is v tiresome, what’s the provision for the excel for?

    Excel uploads are provided to ease work. Request if this feature can be incorporated in the next update.

    Well, the general idea is that you can import all your players for that season one time off using the Player Import tool (https://support.themeboy.com/article/304-csv-importers) and then using the Box-Score import, add the statistics to each event.

    We will definitly consider making the box-score import tool more advanced in near future ??

    Hello @savvasha,
    Well noted. However I’m a little confused here.

    1. The Player Import tool is for importing players – understood.

    2. However using the Box-Score import tool when I’m trying to add statistics to each event, I’m using the same player name and just updating the statistics for against each player. Now if Box-Score has to be used, as per what you’re saying, I first have to MANUALLY select players and then import statistics. If there’s a manual process what’s the primary use of the import tool which doesn’t update the event with already existing players and their stats for that match?

    Hope I’ve not got anything wrong.
