Bounce rate is now low OK but Time on Site is still 0

Hi. Just back from holiday.

The zero time on page is not caused by this plugin. There could be many reasons. This link will help you to find yours: https://www.google.com/search?q=google+analytics+average+time+on+page+zero

Possible reasons include:

– If you have some kind of virtual pageviews that are triggered by say a click on a form submit or to download a pdf or similar it will inflate your pageview and result in a 0.00% bounce rate as a 2nd call to the utm.gif is being made

– […]placements triggered via clicks from GDN, but people have not even reached my page, were blocked by pop-up blocker or other similar software

The problem was already there before I installed the plugin, but I thought the plugin was supposed to fix this: “Get the real Time On Site and Bounce Rate in Google Analytics”. But maybe I didn’t understand correctly?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just took a look at one of my websites and about 2% have 0:00 time on page. I see that half of them are query urls, but there are still many query urls that have time on page. Still a mystery to me why these pages have 0:00 time.

I still want to find out whether it is possible to reduce the 0:00 time on page pages, but that will be when I have a bit more time I am afraid.
