Bought domain, cannot install WP, says the domain is already used in WP's system

  • I bought a domain and hosting from dreamhost.com. I tried clicking on the WordPress One-Click Install but when I enter my information, I get this message:

    Whoops! There was an error while trying to install wordpress for you!

    Invalid Domain: XXXXX.com is already being used in our system!

    Simple mode oneclicks may only be installed on domains (or subdomains) that are not already fully hosted. Either delete the web hosting for XXXXXXX.com, or install your application to a new subdomain of XXXXXX.com.

    I tried installing it to a subdomain, but I got the same error. Does this mean I cannot use WordPress for my site?
