    Hi,

I was recently blocked by my hosting provider for sending emails to honeypot addresses. When I looked into the issue, I realised that a bot with this email “[email protected]” managed to get through to the checkout page and entered the email address above at checkout.

While no actual order was placed, unfortunately, I have the WooCommerce Cart Abandonment Recovery plugin installed which automatically emails the “customer” based on their email address in an attempt to get them to complete their purchase (that is, recover the cart).

FYI, my email address field is the first field in the checkout form on the Billing Details section.

Is there a way for your plugin to actually stop the bot from reaching the checkout page in the first place? Is there a setting I can turn on to enable this?

I have since disabled the WooCommerce Cart Abandonment Recovery plugin but I’d like to reactivate it if possible. My hosting provider has threatened that they would not unlock my account if this behaviour continues on my website which is really frustrating. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you kindly.

    Hello,

Please clarify what CleanTalk plugin you mean. The Security plugin doesn’t protect websites from spam. Did you mean the Anti-Spam plugin? Could you also tell us your website name so we can check more details?

    Hi @sergecleantalk

I’m so sorry. I logged into my account via your website and clicked on Support. It redirected me to this plugin page. I did not realise this is the Security plugin page and not the Anti-spam plugin page.

You’re right, I am referring to the Anti-spam plugin. I love your plugin and I’ve never really had any issues with it. Unfortunately, my hosting provider is making things really difficult via their SpamExperts service. My website name is joywithjo.com

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
