Both 5.3.4 and 5.3.5 breaking my widgets

That person did not give you very helpful information, but I just updated the plugin on several sites and the title disappears. See the footer and the sidebar:

Yes, that particular issue was reported by a different user but I wasn’t able to reproduce it and then got swamped with work, haven’t had much time to work on the plugin this week unfortunately.

For the time being -and in your particular case- you can add the title back to your sidebar widget by following these instructions:

1. Go to Appearance > Widgets > [Your Sidebar] > WordPress Popular Posts.
2. Scroll down to the HTML Markup settings section and set the fields under Before / after title: to <h3 class="widget-title"> and </h3>, respectively.
3. Finally, scroll down a bit and click on Save to apply changes.

Give that a shot and report back your results.

Ah, almost forgot. To fix the one on the footer please temporarily add another widget (eg. Recent Comments) so I can help you figure out which HTML tags to use for its heading, @karinclimber.

I have a widget-title problem too. For my website-sidebar I used the ones, that were already inserted somewhere else, but for the new ones, no title is shown. Unfortunately I can not share an image here as far as I can see.
My theme is oceanwp.

OK, but it is appearing in my widget section of wordpress. I have the same issue with other themes. For some widgets like new comments and new posts, there is no more option to add a title.

It’s a theme issue, @birgitp. You’ll need to contact the authors of the themes you’re using and ask them what’s the best way to resolve it.

if so, it should change by using a different theme, but it doesn’t. No?

It depends on the theme. Again, please contact the developers of the theme you’re using so they can assist you with this. You’re posting your questions on the wrong place, my friend @birgitp.

I used Astra before. I never had issues with this before. It’s not theme related. I have this problem with all themes at the moment, but I will search somewhere else.
