    hi

Few days i am not logging on my website, working perfectly, now i try to login to the admin and i get this:

“bot verification” from ITsec / Solid security, never happened before and doesn’t let me get in even after i choose the correct images. Tried in Brave / Edge and Chrome with cookies.

Why is it coming up this now? I haven’t enabled anything, i think was an auto update of the plugin.

How do i get rid of it?

    thanks,
    Gabrio

Bizarre, all of a sudden worked perfectly and no more captcha bot request.

But then now after working on the admin, i tried to re-login and again bot loop..

    What’s going on here??

    Hi @gab81,

If I’m not mistaken the Solid Security Captcha feature is Pro only. SolidWP is not technically allowed to offer support for the Pro plugin version here.

If you have an active support subscription for Solid Security Pro, kindly submit a ticket from your?Member Panel.

To be able to access the WordPress Dashboard while having login problems related to the Solid Security plugin (either Basic or Pro) simply follow the instructions from the FAQ below:

How Do I Disable All Features If I Can’t Access My Site?

    hi there nlpro,

honestly i have no idea, no i am not a PRO subscriber and that turned on all of a sudden, perhaps they were just testing?

I just tried to login to my site right now (after a few days) and i get it again!

but then if you reload it after maybe 5 mins, you can login fine.

There’s something going on for sure. How can i contact if i don’t have a PRO sub yet this is happening on my site now?

btw i just went in disabling the security, thanks for links and if you go to the search bar or Solid Security, there’s nothing for “Captcha”, this is a good bug.

    Hi @gab81,

What version of Solid Security are you using (9.3.0 or 8.3.1)?

Based on your latest posts in this topic it looks like you are using Solid Security Basic (9.3.0). As there is no Captcha feature in the Solid Security Basic plugin, any captcha issue you are experiencing must be caused by some other plugin. This is probably also the reason why the Search bar returns nothing when searching for “Captcha”.

”Captcha” search results only show up in the Solid Security Pro (8.3.1) plugin (Tested and confirmed).

hi, this is installed (it auto updated)

    Version 9.3.0

There’s something more going on, some settings aren’t saving, etc – i sent their support an enquiry.

Now is super super slow to log in sometimes 30 seconds, if i disable Solid Security it logs instantly.

    Hi @gab81,

Ok, I see. At this point it’s probably best to deactivate and delete the plugin and then reinstall.

Before reinstalling please make sure that your server?allows all the REST HTTP methods:?GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE, and OPTIONS.

I have just deleted it and re-installed it, it’s just bizarre, it won’t save “some” settings and still slow to login at times. seems some background process is going on.

Anyhow i’ve asked my host about that string, cheers!

    Hi @gab81,

Another option is to determine whether the Solid Security plugin conflicts with another plugin/theme’s feature.?

To do so, please proceed with a conflict check by following this guide: Checking for a Conflict.

I think it’s something on the server possibly.

disabled solid, still slow login at times, regardless of 2FA or not, then disabled 2 other security plugins but solid is on which could be conflicting and it’s the same, doesn’t matter. Seems there’s a background process during login.

At first i thought it was only when 2FA is on but it’s not, happens randomly. server load is so low tho, quite strange 4.56, 4.54, 4.57

have no time for this now, asked the host to check, thanks for all your help!

    Hi @gab81,

Ok, I see. It must be something specific for that env. The symptoms you describe are non existing for most installs. If you require no further assistance please mark this topic as “Resolved”.

    hi,

actually there’s interesting developments and troubleshooting here

    https://community.cloudflare.com/t/security-plugin-on-wordpress-doesnt-save-settings-when-cf-is-enabled/613013/6

turns out that it’s CloudFlare’s Page rules – if you do enable this

    https://*domain.com/*
Cache Level: Cache Everything, Edge Cache TTL: a month

Then Solid won’t save settings – i am discussing this with Brent Wilson (StellarWP Support) but in case you can let other team members know.

    Interestingly

Cache Level: Standard, Edge Cache TTL: a month

Standard and not “Cache everything” – now saves correctly.Must say that you can see the difference this way tho, it’s slower.
