• I’ve just updated all my plug ins and the evolve theme for the first time in ages. Everythign has been going fine with the website, so it has not been top of my priority list, but then the images started shrinking and disappearing for no reason (in IE only) so I thought an update was in order.

Now I’ve updated though, the Bootstrap slider has disappeared from the home page, and Google map has disappeared from the contact page. I’m concerned there might be other issues too, but that’s all I’ve seen at first glance.

Any ideas how to get them back?

    Hi,

You can try to check for plugin conflict.

If you have a cache plugin, you should clear it’s cache content and keep it’s caching disabled.

Proceed to disable one plugin at a time and clear your browser cache before re-visiting your website to check if your images are loading properly.

    Thank you

    Hi,

    Please Help.
My theme was automatically uploaded (Evolve Theme) over the weekend and everything is fine except the logo has disappeared from all areas (homepage and headers). I have tried deleting the logo and re-uploading under a new name and nothing – Please help (in non-technical language if possible :)) Thanks

Hi Denzel, thanks for the advice. I’ve tried this though, and didn’t have any joy. Turned the plug ins off one by one, then reactivated them.

    Any other ideas?

    Hi @heybaby4d,

Post your website URL to your homepage and contact page.
I need to see if there is any error in developer console.

It has to be either a plugin conflict or your setting issue.

Do you have reduxframework plugin installed?

Are you running latest version of all software installed?

    Thank you.

Hi Denzel, The problem actually came about when I updated everything to the latest versions. There were quite a few updates that needed to happen.

I have got Redux Framework installed, but when I was going through the plug ins, I noticed that it wasn’t activated, and there was a warning at the top of the page saying I should activate it, so I have activated it now.

    Thanks for taking a look.

    Hi,

I am not seeing the bootstrap slider HTML code in your page source.
Please go to Theme Options -> Bootstrap slider
Find the setting -> Bootstrap Slider placement
    Set it to Homepage only.

Do this and see if it appears on homepage.

    As for your contact page.
Yes, you are correct, I think there is a bug.
I am also unable to get the map to appear on my contact page.
I reset my Theme Options -> Contact to default and I am still unable to get the map to show up.

I will report this missing google map issue to the Theme author.

    Thank you.

I do have the same issue with the map on contact page.

    Hi @marcoseduardo,

Yes, everybody has the same issue with the map on contact page.
    It’s not showing up.

Let’s wait for the theme update

Hi Denzel, I’ve set the Bootstrap slider to homepage only. It was already, but I set it to all pages, then saved it. Out of curiosity I checked the website, which hadn’t changed. Then set it back to home page only, and it still hadn’t changed. Anything else I can try?

Also, does this mean we can expect an theme update, is this a known issue, or do I need to contact the theme developers directly?

    Hi @heybaby4d,

Did you manage to get your slider show up on homepage?
If not try the slider position setting in Theme Options -> Header- > Slider Position

If you are using a static homepage, edit the page and look for the slider position setting.

    Thank you

Cracked it!! I set it to manually select the pages I wanted the slider in. Then went into the home page and manually selected to place the slider on that page. Now it’s back.

Thanks for your help. Hope this can help someone else.
