bootstrap issues

I’m currently finishing up a new version of the plugin.
I’m attempting a new strategy for css which I believe will fix the issue you’re having.
Should be ready in a few days from now, please feel free to repost here after trying the new version.

great to hear that it is still alive (project)

I changed some files so that they are working now with latest Bootstrap.

Unfortunately I tried the custom view, copied the content from tab view, but still only got a blank page. So I adapted the original tab file (tabs.js) and at least that did it ??

I edited the files witin the plugin itself but as far as I can remember I can also copy those in my theme folder and it should work? So within themefolder/mmdb_templates/components/templates – only here the 3 files are needed if adapted manually?

I gonna wait your new version to give it a test ??

HI @datateam, new version is published, the bootstrap dependency of the plugin has been completely removed.

There are still some classes that are shared with (mostly older) versions of bootstrap, I did some testing and fixing, it should be ok.
Please let me know how it goes if you try it.

Just there is a IMDB link within the info – Does this one come from tmdb or from your plugin? As the link leeds into an error page

Yes that is coming from TMDb API, it happens that external links are sometimes broken. You can update them yourself, TMDb is a crowdsourced database.

The LCARS theme I’m just building up piece by piece. I always had this page in Joomla (since version 1) and now I decided to move to WordPress…
My first theme and it’s not that easy if you have never done it lol ??
But I think it looks nice – Just need to add more content now lol

Looking at ex https://startrek.lu/Star-Trek-Der-Film/ I see that the tab ‘Cast’ is translated into ‘Besetzung’. Do you have a de-xx locale on the site? I am assuming you do and that happened when you updated the plugin without you translating it yourself, is this correct?

In other words it’s using the default plugin’s (partial) German translation (from plugins/my-movie-database/languages/my-movie-database-de.json)

I must admit I didn’t check that yet and yes my site is in german as I primary did it for german people. Thinking about it english would have been better but hey – Over 10 years back in time it seemed to be the right decision lol

I use normally Loco Translate to translate the missing translations now within WordPress.
I see for your Plugin there is a po file which is 21% completed
I will have a check to translate that completely lol ??
Maybe you need that when finished?

Another point I wanted to mention:
You have the option “Font color for the template content”
This ony changes the color for the header, which in my case was good ?? But I first understood it as the entire text color or did I misunderstood it?

If you translate it and would like to share that would be great. I used Loco a lot in the past too, it’s a great plugin. Alternatively if you would like to do it on translate.www.remarpro.com that would be even better.

Once a translation is complete (90% there it is automatically available for all plugin users to use. But even if you don’t complete it there, you can always export the existing (incomplete) package and use it.

For the ?“Font color for the template content” I see you’re right on your website the template css overrides it. I will fix that in the next minor version which should be very soon since I want to add a credits section to the plugin settings for contributors of completed translation packages. The first one to be completed on translate.www.remarpro.com – Swedish ???? – just happened a few days ago!!

I just downloaded my po file from my loco translate plugin and added it to to the Worpress Translate site – Not sure if I did it right but I hope…
I see I could even translate in my motherlanguage luxembourgish lol
But no one would use that hihi
