Bookings email templates override

Hello:
After testing, I find that WooCommerce Bookings email templates aren’t getting any love when placed locally (themes/mySite/woocommerce-bookings/emails/…).

Is it okay to just customize the plugin email templates? (There are 4 outgoing customer email templates, not a huge overhead when Bookings updates.)

Or, am I barking up the wrong tree, and there’s another more elegant way?
