    Hi Nate

I am sure i have seen other people asking for a booking number/reference – and if i didn’t ask the question it would have only been because i read somebody else’s. i really can’t remember if it was one you said you have prioritised, or might include if and when – but anyway….

Point is that it seems from the export function to csv, that their is already a booking number in place. i haven’t seen it anywhere else – but the first column of the csv export includes a booking number.

I know these things are often easier said than done, but as it is there, let me put forward reasons it would be hugely beneficial to have it available as a ‘usable’ field.

Many people use gmail. Many people prefer conversation view. I have found conversation view unworkable since having automated emails. When i looked into how google groups mail, the biggest assist in it not making mistakes was to start the subject and body with a unique identifier – names, times, everything else, can be the same, the booking i.d. is the one thing that has to be unique.

Efficiency of communication. People often do not use the same name as their email, or even the same email. This can make booking queries and changes etc time consuming. The ability to give a ‘this is your booking reference, please quote it in all comms’ would help that, and appear more professional.

It would also allow use as a unique identifier outside of the booking system – e.g sorting by subject in email clients that allow it, or searching by booking ref number.

If not easy to build into the base system I wonder if it could be an available ‘custom field’ (another reason to go pro ?? )
