    I created a new event which required registration. The event is set to 2020-03-31. I named a new ticket with price and ticket available date (2020-01-16). Tickets are available to logged in users only. When I logged in as another user, I found the message displayed as Booking is closed and I cannot make any booking. I tried with another new event, same thing Booking is closed.
    I previous was able to create events with booking and no problem. But now when I went back to book the old event which have not reached the event date yet, it also showed the booking is closed.
    Please help. Thanks

    did you already enable option Events > Settings > Bookings > General Options > Allow guest bookings?

    @angelo_nwl,
    No, we are a private club and only pre-registered users can book events. So the setting is set to No. I did find out I have to remove the check mark on “subscriber”. So my setting of the event is “Available For Logged in Users” and leave the wp-user role boxes unchecked. Then booking is available.

    My follow-up question is, when a user registers with EM is his/her information entered in WP database as a WP user? I thought it was the case and hence I checked the “Subscriber” box when I create an event ticket. Checking that box caused the problem. How does EM handle EM-registered users and what is it relationship with WP users? It is important for our use case because we will also need to install a membership plugin. I am looking for one that is compatible with EM in terms using a common user database.

    Along the same line, can you recommend a membership plugin that works well with EM?

    Thanks @angelo_nw, it is helpful.
    Does EM use WP-User database table when registering users? Or EM has its own user table, independent of WP-User table? I have in mind a membership plugin that uses WP-User table. If EM uses WP-User table it would be great for our use case.

    Hello,

    When you’re creating Tickets, You could restrict a ticket to be available only on certain User Roles. You could do this under the Ticket Options. (https://take.ms/2GmXd) Please do note that when a Ticket is not available even though the event is still on going, Then it would show as closed.

    ie: You created a ticket that is only available for the User Role “VIP Members”, Then when a user logged-in as not VIP, let’s say “Standard User Role”, Then He would see the event as closed because event ticket is only available to the specific user roles only.
