Booking Form with Payment Processing

  • Hi All,

    I’ve had a request from a client and am looking for some general / plugin advice.

    The scenario is the client is looking to take bookings online for their airport transfers / shuttle service. The user goes to a booking page, fills out the necessary fields and then enters their payment details (credit / debit card no.s, etc.), their account is debited and gets a thank you page.

    Pretty simple scenario but I’ve had a good browse through the forums and the plugin directory and haven’t seen anything which is quite there. Seen some great plugins such as WP-Ecommerce, YAK, etc. but these do much more than I’m after (in my case there are no ‘products’ or ‘basket’ as such).

    I’m edging towards writing new plugin route, which would be fun, or using CForms II with the ‘Send form data to an alternative page’ to do the processing bit.

    Is there an easier way already out there which I haven’t found yet? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Take a look at webreserv.com. There is a booking calendar that can be added to existing blogs/websites in just a few minutes. It comes with a complete administration tool where you can manage the bookings.

    It works well for both lodging (hotels, bed & breakfast’s, vacation rentals etc) as well as other types of bookings including car/boat/rv rentals and even sports and other recreational activities.

    It would be nice if the Booking Form with Payment Processing plug-in is flexible and can use any transaction handling services like ARES, webreserv, visa, etc.

    @peteinnes any update on your search? Have you tried either of the suggestions above (ie: webreserv or booking calendar)? I’m looking for something very similar to what you described…would appreciate any info on what you ended up doing.

    UPDATE: I just looked at both webreserv and booking calendar. As you would expect, they’re both very calendar centric. I need something simpler – more like what you described above.

    Again, any feedback on your findings would be appreciated.

    any thoughts on this guys?? I’m in the process of writing something if there isnt a solution already available..

    I’ve looked and I don’t wanna pay monthly for it…
