Booking form translation

Hi I-Visio,

I believe the Dining Restaurant theme has replaced the default booking form with custom booking form output. Try looking in the theme’s translation strings for those fields to see if you can translate them with Loco Translate.

If that doesn’t work, I’d recommend you get in touch with the theme developer to see if he can help. I know Primoz from Proteus Themes (the creators of your theme) has contributed code to Restaurant Reservations, so I’ll reach out to him and see if he has any ideas.

In the next update of the theme (this week) we will solve some issues and provide even better compatibility with the Restaurant Reservations plugin.

By the way, yesterday the extension module of WordPress inform me of an update of Restaurant WP Theme (from 1.3.0 to 1.10) but it seems to be a fake.
When you take a look at the theme detail, it’s “Restaurant By designpromote”

It seems like one of the free WP themes in the repository is clashing with our Dining Restaurant theme.
I will see what’s the best workaround in the next days. Please don’t update.

I take a look at the translation of the theme with Loco Translate and don’t find “Book a Table”, “Party”, “Your phone number”, etc. no more than in the plugin.

When I translate these fields in the page editor of WP in text mode and save it.
The code remains in English after reloading the page.

So, i’m waiting for the next update.

Are you using WPML? I’ve done a lot of work to improve WPML compatibility, but I have yet to get the signoff from the creators of WPML. Once I do, I’ll ship the wpml-config.xml file. But if you want to make use of it now, you can find it here.

To use it, click the Download Gist button on the right and upload the .xml file to /wp-content/plugins/restaurant-reservations/. You may need to re-save your settings before they will work.

I just want to know everybody that I improved integration of this plugin in Dining Restaurant theme in release v1.4.0, so now all the strings are in the plugin – essentially one has to translate the plugin, not the theme, except for the BOOK NOW button.

I mean, i have activated de qtranlsate plugin and my website is multilingual so how can i have 3 restaurants booking form in 3 different languages on 3 different pages?

Sorry, I’m not very familiar with qTranslate. I’ve only worked on adding support for WPML, since that’s the most widely used plugin for multilingual sites.

If qTranslate does it’s job, it should load the .mo files for whatever language is currently being viewed. But if you’ve made the translations for your languages and they aren’t loading, I’d recommend you ask the qTranslate people to see if they can help.

I Have translated 90% of the plugin in french, and don’t find how to send it for other people by GITHUB. If you want i can send it to you by an other way.

Thanks I-Visio! If you’re not familiar with GitHub, don’t worry. Can you email the translation files (.po and .mo) to theme of the crop AT gmail DOT com (without the spaces and AT/DOT replaced)? Please also include your name however you’d like to be credited.

I really don’t know why, but the Restaurant Reservations plugin doesn’t work well on my site. It was quite easy to integrate the plugin and choose the booking shedule. But now it isn’t possible to choose the booking time on my website: https://www.dsigrist.com/haldenbach/home/reservation/. Do you maybe know why and can help me to do it right?

And actually I would like to make it look like on the site of I-Visio: https://www.o2-saone.fr/wordpress/reservation-table-restaurant/. How can I do this?
