    Hi,

Thanks for this plugin to start with!

I am using the “Book” type. Using all the properties, it passes the Google test.

But when looking on the mandatory props for Google (https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/book), we see two missing properties which are quite important for a book: “bookFormat” and “inLanguage”. My book is in French, and I have no way to tell it to Google (it is a virtual/downloadable so I cannot add a Woocommerce custom attribute).

It is funny that the Google check is not complaining about the missing mandatory attribute imposed by…Google ??

Can both attributes “bookFormat” and “inLanguage” be added for the Book schema type please?

    Many thanks,

    Didier.

    Hello,

Is this done now? I couldn’t see in the recent changelogs to have two extra fields for the “Book” schema.

Many thanks for the great plugin !

    Hi,

Tested after the plugin update for the book schema
    1. bookformat: perfect
    2. Inlanguage: works fine.

Just one small remark cf. the Inlanguage: Per Google, Schema requires the 2-letter ISO code like “en”. You have put as placeholder “English” which does not match the requirement per Google. I don’t know if this is important for Schema compatibility, so I prefer to let you know. On the Schema webpage, you can put both syntax (en and English). Not clear if Google is right or Schema ??

    Here the extract from https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/book

    inLanguage

    Text

The main language of the content in the edition. Use one of the two-letter codes from the list of ISO 639-1 alpha-2 codes.

Many thanks for the improvement ! The ticket can be closed.

    Didier.
